Xavi's come back to FC Barcelona with 10 rules, which he learned throughout his career and which from now on should be kept in the locker rooms of the Catalans.

Xavi Hernández Barcelona`s head coach

Almost as soon as he set foot in Camp Nou, Xavi got a job. His first concern was to remove 5 members of the Barcelona technical staff from office, as he is determined to bring about change at all levels.

First of all, Juanjo Brau, the physiotherapist who during his years worked, helped to recover great Barça stars, such as Messi, Ronaldinho and Puyol, was fired.

The new coach of the Catalans after a discussion he had with the president of Blaugrana, Joan Laporta has ensured complete freedom of movement and so he is going to take over some responsibilities of the general manager having control over many aspects that surround the first team.

Some of them are completely related to the daily life of the locker rooms and relate to a large extent to the group of collaborators he has brought with him from Qatar. This means that some of the "historic" Barcelona players in the locker room are not going to continue. And the changes began. Apart from Brau  Albert Roca, the fitness coach of the "blaugrana", is also a past, as well as his collaborator, Jaume Bartres.

The changes also "hit" the scouting department of the club. Xavi brought his own collaborators, so Raul Pelaez and Jordi Melero stopped working with the first team. Some of them will be "transferred" within the club, while others will leave Barcelona.

At the same time, the new coach of Barcelona, setting the example, arrived at the stadium early on Tuesday morning, accompanied by the president of the club, Joan Laporta, 2.5 hours earlier than his scheduled first training session.

From his very first presentation, Xavi made it very clear that his work is based on "discipline". The Spanish newspaper As revealed Xavi's 10 rules, which he learned throughout his career and which from now on should be kept in the locker rooms of the Catalans:

1- The players must be on the field one and a half hours before training.

2- The staff must be on the field two hours before training.

3- The footballers will eat in the dining room of the facilities of Ciutat Esportiva, with a program of the club's nutritionists.

4- Fines are imposed. It's something that did not happen after the departure of Luis Enrique.

5- Fines will increase exponentially.

6- 48 hours before a game it is forbidden to return home after midnight.

7- Merit. Training will be like a match, where the players will be judged.

8- Control of extra-sports activities.

9- Prohibited dangerous activities. A soccer player will not be able to surf or ride an electric bike. This type of practice will be punished as a very serious offense.

10- Good picture. The footballers, as a fundamental part of the club, must be the first to set an example.

And if there is continuity in matters of discipline we will find out very soon….
