The FIFA president wants unite the whole world

FIFA President Gianni Infantino once again shows how much he wants to unite the whole world. So in his first official visit to Israel he suggested that both Israel and its neighbors, of course Palestine, co-organize a final phase of a World Cup. And even if this can be done in 2030, when the candidacy is still open.

He even mentioned the possibility of giving the World Cup every 2 years. He even compared it to the American Super Bowl that is held every year with great success. In fact, as Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett characteristically stated, Gianni Infantino "suggested the idea that Israel could host the 2030 World Cup with other countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates" during their discussion.

"Why not dream of a World Cup in Israel and neighboring countries? Why not organize it here with the other Middle Eastern countries and the Palestinians? "I think co-organization is the future, so why not dream about it and think about it, whether for men or women, because the FIFA World Cup has this unique magic to bring people together," said Gianni Infantino was asked if Israel could ever co-host the top football tournament, along with other countries in the region.

"You have to have a vision, dreams and ambitions. We have talked a lot about these last months, after the agreement between the Emirates and Israel, so a joint candidacy is a choice. After Qatar, the World Cup will be held in Canada, Mexico and the USA, three huge countries. So why not Israel? " he continued.

The president of the World Football Federation traveled to Israel and spoke at a conference organized by the important newspaper "Jerusalem Post", where he noted the "historic agreement" between the football federation of Israel and that of the United Arab Emirates.

That during his speech at the conference, Mr. Infantino underlined how a World Cup has become "a huge event and not just a sporting event", which includes the sale of 3-4 million tickets, the reception 1.5- 2 million visitors and which is watched by 4 billion viewers.

He reiterated that FIFA wants to "put football at the service of society, to really make a difference by contributing, where possible, to peace and stability in the region".

The president of FIFA also referred to the holding of the World Cup every two years: "The Super Bowl is held every year, why not hold a World Cup every two years?" he wondered. "Many say it would be wrong, but FIFA studies say it would not diminish the magic of the tournament because its frequency does not affect its quality and reputation," he said.

"We have already decided that there will be a 48-team World Cup from 2026. The duration of two or four years is still under consultation. "Just because it is a magic tournament, it should be held more often."

Infantino is convinced that the reputation and prestige of the tournament will not be affected: "The reputation of an event, an event depends on its quality and not on its frequency. Every year there is the Super Bowl, the Wimbledon or the UEFA Champions League and everyone is excited."
