The new European cup competition season for 2023-2024 has officially started

The journey to the new season 2023/2024 started on Tuesday (13/6), with the draw of the pre-qualifying round held in Nyon.

Just three days after the end of the 2022/23 season in the UEFA Champions League, with the winning of the trophy by Manchester City (1-0 Inter) in Istanbul, the journey to the new season 2023/ started on Tuesday (13/6) 24, with the draw of the pre-qualifying round held in Nyon.


Resulting semi-finals:


Athletic Club Escaldes (Andorra) - Budučnost Podgorica (Montenegro)

Tre Pene (San Marino) - Breidablik (Iceland)


The matches will be held on June 27, while three days later (6/30) the final will take place. All matches (which are singles) will be played in Iceland, in Kópavogsvöllur (stadium Kópavogsvöllur).


The winners of the pre-qualifying round will advance to the first qualifying round, which will include double legs taking place on 11/12 and 18/19 July. The other three teams are transferred to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.


The 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League is scheduled for 25/26 July and 1/2 August, while the 3rd qualifying round is on 8/9 and 15 August.


The playoffs are scheduled for August 22-23 and 29-30. On September 19, the group stage will begin, which will conclude in mid-December. In addition to the 1st matchday (19-20/9), the 2nd will take place on 3-4 October, the 3rd on 24-25/10, the 4th on 7-8/11, the 5th on 28-29/11 and the 6th on 12-13/12.


The round of 16 will take place on February 13-14 and 20-21 as well as March 5-6 and 12-13 2024. The quarter-finals will be held in April (9-10 and 16-17), the semi-finals on 30/ 4-1/5 and 7-8/5, with the final set for June 1 at Wembley.


The Greek presence


The champion AEK will start its journey from the 3rd qualifying round (8/9.8-15.8), with the draw scheduled for July 24.


The runners-up Panathinaikos will start their journey from the 2nd qualifying round (25/26.7-1/2.8) with the draw scheduled for June 21.
