Olympiacos with its shipowner president Evanggelos Marinakis has complete the transfer move of international Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk. The ukranian footballer will undergo a medical within the day and then sign his new contract with the red and white armada this tuesday 30th july.

Trabzonspor had also shown strong interest in acquiring him, but the 28-year-old (27/11/1995) striker was convinced by the project presented to him by Olympiacos and will be in Athens to formally complete his inclusion in the Pirates' roster. Last season he was on loan at Valencia, scoring a total of 8 goals in 34 official matches.

He participated in the recent EURO 2024 with the National Team of Ukraine, even scoring in the match against Slovakia.

Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk was born in Lviv, Ukraine on November 27, 1995 and joined the Dynamo Kyiv academy at a young age (12 years old). There he grew up in football and at the age of 22, he was transferred for 2 million euros to Ghent, where in four years he became one of the favorite players of the platform, having made 152 appearances in all competitions with 61 goals and 18 assists to his credit.

His good performances led SL Benfica to spend 17 million euros to acquire him and a year later, with 9 goals in 47 games in Portugal, Bruges took the same amount from their coffers to bring him back to Belgium. Last season he played for Valencia on loan where he found the back of the net 4 times in 29 matches while wearing the national flag of Ukraine 53 times with 16 goals to his credit. His presentation in Laliga was very good!
