Things are starting to get very difficult for FIFA and its president, Gianni Infantino, who is touring with the aim of having direct contact with his Confederate counterparts. The International Federation has tried to bring to a vote a change in the rules of the World Cup, and instead of 4 years it is now reduced to 2.

However, we see that the Premier League is now officially opposed to such a decision which will change the World Cup. that is, the World Cup every 2 years. But they are talking about a process of reform in the calendar of international games after 2024.

Clubs have expressed concern about the negative impact that the current FIFA proposals will have on the well-being of the players, the experience of the fans, the pre-season preparations and the quality of the competitions.

Richard Masters, CEO of the Premier League, said: "The Premier League is committed to preventing any radical changes to FIFA's international roster after 2024 that could negatively affect the well-being of the players and threaten their competitiveness. the program, facilities and traditions of national football ".

"We are open to reforms and new ideas, but these should improve the complementary balance between national and international football in order to improve the game at all levels. "This process should also include important agreements with the leagues that provide the basis for the game."

"We will continue to work with teams of fans, players, national and international stakeholders to find solutions that are in the best interest of the long-term future of football," Masters concluded.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the Premier League confirmed the dates for the 2022/23 season. The season will start on August 6, 2022 and will end on May 28, 2023, with all the last racing games starting at the same time.

There will be a break in the middle of the season, between November 14 and December 26, due to the holding of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar from 11/21 to 12/18…
