The jury was made up of journalists representing a number of media outlets. The verdict was clear in both decisions. It was also the first time in history that the best player of the women's team was awarded.

The 12th edition of Barcelona's Aldo Rovira award honoured Pedri Gonzalez as the Barcelona team's best player of the season and Alexia Putellas as the best player in the women's team. It was the first time that a female footballer was also chosen.
