Karim Benzema Real Madrid`s hero against PSG

We will soon find out for sure if Kylian Mbappe will wear the Real Madrid jersey from the summer onwards. The information so far shows this as the father and mother of the French international striker went to the Spanish capital on Wednesday. So they probably did not go to see just Madrid and the "new Bernabeu", which is not yet 100% ready. Maybe they saw some beautiful houses.

In any case, our issue is different: Real has a King and his name is Karim Benzema. The French international forward scored three goals (61΄, 76΄, 78΄), turned the game around and sent his team to the quarter-finals, beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-1. Thus, the Spanish team reversed the 1-0 loss that had been lost at the "Parc des Princes". It was an amazing night not only for Benzema and the Merengue fans but for all the fans, who love good football…

The Mythical, unique Karim Benzema put his signature wide in this extremely difficult game. He thus rose to 3rd place in Real's all-time scorers, as he surpassed the legend Alfredo Di Stefano. Karim has now reached 309 goals with the jersey of the great Real.

The inimitable Karim Benzema, turned the match against Paris Saint-Germain on his own and made history. At the same time, Karim, who is 34 years and 80 days old, became the oldest football player to score a hat-trick in the "stars", thus erasing the record held by Olivier Giroud, who had achieved it 17 days younger.

In fact, this was only the fourth time in the history of the institution that a footballer scores a hat-trick when his team needed exactly three goals in the second game to qualify. The Dutchman Robin van Persie was the first to do so with Manchester United (against Olympiakos-2014), followed by Cristiano Ronaldo (against Wolfsburg in 2016) and the Brazilian Lucas Moura (against 2019).

The fact is that once again Real Madrid proved why they are rightly called the "Queen" of Europe. It is indeed the largest team on the old continent and of course it sets its sights on the grand final of May which will be held in the City of Light on May 28th.
