Superchampion of Europe at idle and with Mbappe, Real Madrid!

Real beat Atalanta 2-0 and won the European Super Cup, sixth tittle of his history.

Real Madrid win 2-0 to Atalanta in the UEFA Supercup Final in Warsaw. EPIC

With Kylian Mbappe opening an account on his debut and Vinicius - Bellingham "dancing" at the Bernabeu, Real beat Atalanta 2-0 and won the European Super Cup.

For most teams in the world, entering the new season on the right foot means winning the first matchday of the league. For the "Queen" of the planet it means to start by conquering a cup. And he did it (again), beating Atalanta 2-0 in Warsaw. He thus won the European Super Cup for the 6th time, leaving behind Barcelona and Milan. The Italian, Carlo Ancelotti, reached 5 trophies in the competition, and surpassed Pep Guardiola, while Luka Modric became at the age of 39 the Real player with the most trophies: 27!

What a debut, of course, for Kylian Mbappe. The French superstar, in his first official game with Real Madrid's jersey, opened the scoring, scoring the second goal (68'), while the Uruguayan, Valverde, opened the scoring (59').

Gasperini, Percassi and the Bergamo fans will long remember the icy eyes of Courtois, Ancelotti's goalkeeper who grabbed the Goddess' flying dream and took it out of the top corner with a hat-off save.

Real Madrid, after a dull first half, wakes up after the Belgian's great save at the start of the second half, beats Atalanta 2-0 and wins the European Super Cup. The sixth in its history. The protagonists are the 8 and 9, Valverde and Mbappè, the latter scoring on his debut with the Blancos. A dream chased all his life and realized along the Vistula, at the national stadium in Warsaw, under the sector reserved for the Madrid team. But the Goddess leaves with her head held high. For a while she held her own against the champions.

Mbappé wins immediately: "It's a dream, Ancelotti helped me settle in"

For the Frenchman, a debut with a goal and the European Super Cup: "For a player, it's important to score and already be decisive"

Goals and European Super Cup. Kylian Mbappé couldn't have asked for more from his first official match with Real Madrid.

"It's a dream come true, I'm very happy to have started playing for the best club in the world by winning a title, then for a striker it's very important to score a goal and be decisive right away. We want to win many titles this year" is the challenge that the French champion launches to all rivals, inside and outside the borders of Spain.

Mbappé was made official by Real Madrid only two months ago, but he has shown that he has settled perfectly into this new reality.

“With Ancelotti I had the opportunity to talk about life and football, his contribution and that of my teammates allowed me to settle in very well right away. I hope to stay here for many years,” explained the former PSG player at the end of the match. He then focused on the dream trident that he forms together with Vinicius and Rodrygo.

“The coach wants us to move a lot, to move on the offensive front. He gives us freedom and it’s a pleasure to play with these players, the best in the world.”

Gasperini bitter: "We lost a great opportunity, we always lack a comma"

Getting a result against a Real Madrid with such a high technical level would have been a feat for anyone. And so it was: as expected, Atalanta lost the European Super Cup final against the Galacticos. But with their heads held high, because often during the match it was Gasperini's team that controlled the game. "I was quite confident that we could play a good game and cause problems for Real - said the Nerazzurri coach -. The game changed after their goal, especially the second one which was avoidable: we started well, with a very important chance from Lookman and Courtois' save on Pasalic. Coming back in these games then becomes difficult with the risk of exposing yourself too much".

Gasperini is satisfied but also very disappointed, because tonight his Atalanta could have made history: "We missed a great opportunity and I'm very sorry about that, because there were chances to take the lead. We need to be more cynical. I'm very proud, but we're always missing a comma: in Dublin we put it in and today we could have put it back. I'm sorry for the lads because it was a very rare opportunity".

On Ancelotti: "I have a great relationship with Carlo, at the end of the game we only talked about football". And on Monday we start again, also in Serie A. With one more lesson: "We will take something positive from this game and on Monday our championship will start again, which is another story. We will also have to do the counting because Kolasinac also left...".
