Shortly before the transfer window closed in the Premier League, Arsenal succeeded and found the "golden ratio" and took the international winger, Raheem Sterling, on loan for a year from Chelsea.

The two sides, after tough negotiations that lasted several days, finally reached an agreement on Saturday  (8/31). Thus, Raheem Sterling will now compete for a season on loan at Arsenal.

Sterling knew very well that he was now a "foreign body" for Chelsea as their new coach, Italian Enzo Maresca, had made it clear to him that he did not count on him for the starting line-up. As his goal is to present a young, fast team and with a different mentality.

In the agreement it should be noted that there was no clause since the loan is simple. The 29-year-old Sterling had previously worked with Mikel Arteta at Manchester City when the Spaniard was Pep Guardiola's assistant.

Ideal choice

The international footballer after the signing that now brings him to Arsenal said characteristically: "It's the perfect choice for me. It suits me perfectly. One sees the path the children have traveled, there is a great thirst. And what I always look for in a team is unity...” commented Sterling.

And he added:

"Playing at Arsenal is a really incredible feeling. I see the thirst that exists in the team and it's something that fascinates me, that's why I wanted to join the team. Be sure that I will give my best, I'm not done football yet, I still have a lot to give."

So Raheem Sterling will remain a resident of London, but in another... district, as he moved to Arsenal and will even wear the shirt with "10".

Sterling has a total of 123 Premier League goals in 379 appearances and has won it four times with City.
