The Spanish international winger of Barcelona, won the award completing a year in which he helped the Spanish national team win Euro 2024 by defeating England 2-1 in the final in June and at the age of 17 years and four months is the youngest winner of the award.

At the same time, we must not forget that a month ago in Paris he had also won the "Kopa" award for the best footballer in the world under 21 years of age, while he was 8th in the overall ranking. The Golden Boy award was also won by Lionel Messi 19 years ago.

Yamal enchanted with what he did in Barcelona but also with the way he led Spain to win EURO 2024 and... destroyed the competition, after receiving 488 out of 500 available votes, that is, 97.6%!

Yamal is the fourth Barcelona footballer to win this trophy after Gavi, Pedri and Messi.

This award honors footballers under the age of 21 who play in Europe, and Yamal was selected ahead of Turkish Arda Guler of Real Madrid and Frenchman Warren Zaire-Emery of Paris Saint-Germain.
