Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a permanent manager and German Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly determined to agree a deal, taking over at "Spurs" from next season.

In February, Tottenham were in the top four of the Premier League and were playing in the knockout games of the UEFA Champions League, after three years.

Two months have passed since then and the season has spiraled out of control for Spurs, who in that time have seen three different managers sit on the edge of their bench and remain with the only active aim of getting out of Europa or the Conference League.

The Italian, Antonio Conte left, citing the problematic philosophy of the club. His assistant Christian Stellini took over as caretaker, but after the thrashing by Newcastle (6-1) he too was a thing of the past. This is how Ryan Mason will finish the year.

This situation is a far cry from the long-term outlook desired by Daniel Levy's administration for the day ahead, which is very likely to bear the name of Julian Nagelsmann!.

According to "Bild", the German technician has set his sights on North London and Tottenham, seeing very positively the possibility of succeeding Conte in its technical leadership as a permanent coach.

A few days after withdrawing from the race of candidates for the technical leadership of Chelsea, a position which, according to all indications, will be taken by the Argentine, Mauricio Pochettino, Nagelsmann appears tempted by the possibility of taking over as "boss" of Spurs. And it is possible that the two sides will come to an agreement ahead of the summer, if Nagelsmann's conditions are met, which is to have a say in transfers and qualify for Europe without him in the coming weeks.
