Harry Kane is set to write his name in the Bundesliga books in Golden Letters
Kane is chasing Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga scoring record for most goals in a single season.
Bayern Munich's England international forward Harry Kane scored his 29th and 30th goals in the 2025/26 Bundesliga in 'Der Klassiker' against Borussia Dortmund. Since moving (from Tottenham) to Bayern Munich in 2023, the England forward has scored 130 goals and provided 31 assists in just 133 games for the Bavarians. And now he has a very special record in his sights.
Harry Kane now has 10 games to play to not only break his own Bundesliga season scoring record
(36 goals in 2023/24), but also the league's all-time record.
If he can maintain his current goal-scoring rate of 1.25 goals per game, he will write his name into the history books. If Kane continues to score this season, he will finish the season with 43 goals, according to German specialist website transfermarkt.
Robert Lewandowski
The record for most goals scored in a single Bundesliga season is held by Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international forward has scored 41 goals in just 29 games for Bayern Munich in the 2020/21 season.
In doing so, he overtook the famous Gerd Müller, who is now in second place on the list, having scored 40 goals in 34 games in the 1971/72 season for Bayern. Gerd Müller also occupies third place having scored 38 in the 1969/70 season.
Kane's first season in Germany then takes fourth place, with the Englishman scoring 36 in the 2023/24 season.
Müller and Lewandowski dominate the rest of the top ten, with the only non-Bayern players being Köln's Dieter Müller (34 goals in 1976/77) and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (31 goals in 2016/17).
