The dutch head coach was sacked after of loss against Rayo Vallecano in wednesday`s night

Ronald Koeman head coach FC Barcelona

As Sport announced this Wednesday night, Ronald Koeman has been dismissed as Barça coach. Ratified by Joan Laporta just before the Wanda Metropolitano game, the president has rectified and the Dutch coach ceases to be a Barça coach fourteen months after his arrival on the Barca bench. Koeman leaves with Barça in a delicate position in LaLiga, and with a Cup title in his pockets.

As reported by RAC, there are three candidates for the bench: Xavi Hernández, who is waiting for a call in Qatar; Sergi Barjuan, coach of the subsidiary; and Marcelo Gallardo, River Plate coach.

The Dutchman is no longer officially a Barça coach. "FC Barcelona has dismissed Ronald Koeman tonight as coach of the first team. The president of the club, Joan Laporta, has informed him after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano. Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad this Thursday at the Ciudad Deportiva FC Barcelona would like to thank you for the services provided to the entity and wishes you good luck in your professional career, "the club said in its statement.

Things are true, for a long time now it was not good for the Dutch coach. The failures, combined with the absence of Lionel Messi, who in the summer, preferred to go to France to continue his glorious career in rich Paris Saint-Germain, was an additional problem for Kοεman.

The fans who know that Ronald Koeman is not to blame for everything but the administrations that left the club to exceed its debt, the 1 billion euros, are not easily forgotten. Thus, it is natural that in every turn of the Blaugrana, the eyes fell on Kοεman and President Laporta, despite his efforts, could no longer keep the Dutchman at the helm of the club ...

Of course, it would be a delusion and even great to believe that the next coach who will accept to sit on the bench of Barcelona, will have some magic wand to change things. It will take a great and continuous effort to overcome the reef that Barcelona is in and most importantly to give more time and confidence to its next coach ...
