The english striker decided England passage to the round of 16 after beating DR Congo 2-1 with two goals.

Thus the "Three Lions" continue in the tournament. And in the next phase they will face Mexico, one of the organizers of the tournament. In fact, their game will be held in Mexico City.

The England national team found it difficult in the first half by the Democratic Republic of Congo, which started in the most ideal way. In just the 7th minute, the DR Congo opened the score with the striker, Cipenga, who after a cross found himself alone at the left post and with a shot into the closed corner wrote 1-0. The English were then quite nervous, without being able to create problems for the opposing defense.

Mpasi

But within a minute they managed to threaten twice. Initially, after a foul by Declan Rice, the ball hit the defender, Ezri Konsa and went just wide. While a minute later, the Arsenal midfielder crossed from the right, Bellingham won a header but the 31-year-old, goalkeeper, Lionel Mpasi  made an impressive save. In the 35th minute, the players of the German technical leader, Thomas Tuchel, came within a breath of equalizing. The right winger, Madueke, made a nice individual move from the right, made a turn, Rashford shot but Bissaka cleared the ball over the line.

Seven minutes later, Congo came very close to 2-0. Wan Bissaka crossed from the right and striker, Yoane Wissa, with a close-range shot, sent the ball against the post.

In the 2nd minute of added time, Bellingham came close to equalizing again. The Real midfielder won an unimpeded header into the “heart” of the defense but Embassy blocked it with one hand. Four minutes later, the DR Congo goalkeeper made another impressive save, this time from Harry Kane.

Kane spoke

The Three Lions came in pressing for a quick goal at the start of the second half. In the 51st minute, the English went on the counterattack, Marcus Rashford shot from inside the area, but the ball went to the outside of the net. Two minutes later, Embassy made another great save. Bellingham shot from the left, the ball rebounded and the Congolese goalkeeper made a double effort to save the English midfielder's shot.

The English then pressed without threatening and finally equalized in the 75th minute. Gordon sent a sweet cross from the left and Kane headed it in to make it 1-1.

Bayern's forwards "struck" again after eleven minutes. Bellingham took a shot, Embassy blocked it, Kane then took the ball from Gordon and with a "fireball" from inside the area scored 2-1. Thus, the English national team qualified for the round of 16 where they will face Mexico.
