Nottingham Forest took the Serbian stopper Nikola Milenkovic
The 26-year-old footballer has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club, which expires in 2029.
The management of Nottingham Forest, which belongs to the Greek shipowner, Vangelis Marinakis, continues to strengthen its soulful potential for the new season as it now wants to play a better role in the Premier League. Thus he acquired the towering (1.95) Serbian international central defender of Fiorentina, Nikola Milenkovic. The 26-year-old footballer has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club, which expires in 2029.
Milenkovic plays as a right-back and was a key member of Fiorentina who reached back-to-back Europa Conference League finals in 2023 and 2024, losing to West Ham and Olympiacos respectively.
The 26-year-old was a key player in all three of Serbia's group stage games at this summer's 17th European Championship, but his side failed to qualify for the second round of the knockout stages. With Serbia, he has 57 appearances.
He went to Fiorentina in the summer of 2017 from Partizan Belgrade and made 263 appearances with the Viola, scoring 17 goals.
Former European champions Forest were looking to bolster their central defensive options following the recent sale of Moussa Niakate to Lyon.
