De Bruyne is considering other options to continue playing in the Premier League after leaving Manchester City at the end of the season.

With Manchester City's management not offering him a new contract or making any move to talk to him, the 33-year-old Belgian midfielder is leaving the Etihad after 10 years. Kevin De Bruyne, the great Belgian, has confessed that he was surprised by his club's decision not to offer him a new contract. After announcing his departure on social media, "Whether we like it or not, it's time to say goodbye," the 33-year-old midfielder admitted he felt a shock.

"There was a bit of a shock. I haven't had any offer from them all year and the club made a decision. "Obviously I was a little surprised, but I have to accept it," he said. "Honestly, I think I can still play at the level I'm showing, but I understand that clubs have to make decisions," the Belgium international added.

"It took half a week to announce it and it wasn't good. My family wasn't home. They were on holiday, so it was a bit strange, but that's how it is. After the decision was made, I felt relieved to announce it publicly, compared to when it was only me who knew.

You don't know what to do with the emotion, with everyone, and how to handle it at the club. Now it's public, it's good and people see who I am. I try to give my best and win games for the team. I love playing football, so that's it," he stressed.

He spoke to Soriano and Begiristain

"I don't feel strange. "I told them (City sporting director Txiki Begiristain and CEO Ferran Soriano) that I think I still have a lot to offer. I know I'm not 25 anymore. But I feel I can still do my job. I'm open to anything, because I have to see the big picture. I look at the sporting reasons, the family and everything together and what makes the most sense for me and my family," he concluded.
