The 39-year-old ace stated characteristically: "In 2034 in Saudi Arabia it will be the best World Cup in history. It is incredible. The facilities, the stadiums, the conditions for the fans. Everything I have seen here has completely convinced me that it will be the best World Cup in history," Ronaldo explained.

Academies and women

The Portuguese also referred to the future of the children from the teams' academies in Saudi Arabia, as well as the future of women's football.

"Some of these kids here will play in the World Cup, it's fantastic. They will continue to develop in football, just like the women who have developed a lot. We all have to develop together, in football and in life.

The league here has developed a lot in the last year. The country is incredible and the Saudis are very nice people. Every year they organize big events, football matches, boxing, the entertainment is very high. The future looks bright in my opinion.

I'm happy to be part of the success of this country and I will definitely be here to enjoy the World Cup," concluded the Portuguese.
