Ranieri now takes again in his coaching career the technical leadership of AS Roma. His last adventure was in 2019.

The 73-year-old Claudio Ranieri (he had played for the Greek national team and Leicester) now takes over for the 3rd time in his coaching career the technical leadership of AS Roma. Ranieri came out of ... retirement for the sake of Roma. In fact, on Wednesday evening (11/13) he arrived in Rome after the deal he had signed in London with the Friedkin family, which owns the Italian team, caused excitement among the approximately 200 fans who welcomed him at Fiumicino Airport. . All of them know the feelings of love he has for their team since he was a small child.

In fact, he immediately takes up work as on Thursday (14/11) the official announcement of his agreement will be made and then he will have his first training session.

The former coach of the Greek National Team had announced last summer his retirement from the bench, but his love for the Giallorossi played a role in revoking his decision.

"Things are tough, I know, that's why they called me. Get ready, the cavalry is coming," he said shortly before leaving London to return to his homeland, with his arrival in the Italian capital in store for a beautiful surprise. In his first term at Roma, Ranieri was in charge from September 2009 to February 2011, while in his second term, he had the role of assistant coach from March to June 2019.

So after Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric, the reins of Roma now pass into the hands of Claudio Ranieri.
