The Ajax forward arrives in Dortmund as a great substitute for Erling Haaland

Sebastien Haller new striker of BVB

Sébastien Haller is said to be close to a move from Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam to Borussia Dortmund. In order to secure the services of the star striker, BVB is said to be digging deeper into their pockets than ever before.

Haller, is said to be Erling Haaland's successor at Borussia Dortmund. The fact that the Ivorian national player is now one of the best scorers in Europe was demonstrated during the past UEFA Champions League season when he scored an outstanding eleven goals in eight games.

According to a recent report by "Bild", BVB is said to be ready to put together a package totaling 92 million euros for Haller in order to transfer the offensive man, who will be 28 this Wednesday, to the Ruhr area.

According to information from the newspaper, the two clubs are now about to agree on a transfer fee of 37 million euros for Haller. The breakthrough is said to be achieved this week.

Haller should then sign a five-year contract with the black and yellow and immediately become one of the top earners in the club.

Only Reus should earn more than Haller at BVB

According to the media report, the annual salary should pay eleven million euros. This means that only team captain Marco Reus with an annual salary of around twelve million euros would be ahead of the striker, who already went in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2017 and 2019 to score goals.

Overall, the Haller package would cost BVB 92 million euros by 2027. Never before in the past has the Ruhr area association realized such a deal.

Dortmund are obviously convinced of the qualities of the 1.90 m giant. In the last two years he won the Dutch championship with Ajax Amsterdam. He also won the national cup competition with Ajax in 2021 and with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018.
