Lionel Messi, swept the 2022 FIFA World Player of the Year awards. It was only natural as Argentina's triumph at the recent 22nd World Cup in Qatar overshadowed everything. Lionel Messi received his award from FIFA president Gianni Infantino at a beautiful ceremony in Paris, capping off an unforgettable year in which he achieved his greatest feat: leading his country's national team to the World Cup.
